A fair offer is one you can see the reasoning behind. Before you decide anything, a specialist walks you through how your specific coins and bullion were valued — in plain language, with no jargon and no rush.
Gold & silver bullion: weight, purity, and live spot.
Bullion is valued against the live market. We weigh each piece, confirm its purity (for example .999 fine silver or 22k gold), and price it from the current spot price of the metal — the same published prices you can check yourself.
Because spot prices move throughout the day, we use up-to-the- moment figures and show them to you when we make the offer.
Coins: value beyond the metal.
Many coins are worth more than their metal content because of their numismatic value. When we review a coin collection we look at:
- Rarity — how many were minted, and how many survive today.
- Condition / grade — wear, strike quality, and whether a coin has been professionally graded (PCGS, NGC).
- Date & mint mark — certain years and mints are far scarcer than others.
- Collector demand — what the current market is actively paying for that coin.
This is why we ask you not to clean coins: cleaning damages the surface and can sharply reduce the grade — and the value.
