Our shop is on Long Island, but our buyers live everywhere. Roughly two thirds of the collections we appraise come in by mail — usually USPS Registered Mail, fully insured, in a kit we send you at our cost.
For larger collections — typically five and six figures and up — we travel. There’s no minimum or geography that rules us out; if it makes more sense to do it in person, we will.
Either way, the offer comes from a working numismatist who will walk you through how every number was calculated, in plain English. That part doesn’t change with distance.
